hugh: dad, my tomatoes won't ripen in the greenhouse.  

dad: they need heat, keep the door closed
hugh: can't, courgettes are in the way, maybe I should pick them and ripen them indoors?
 

dad: just not the same taste doing that
hugh: yeah?

dad: better straight of the plant (then says walking away) ... look, there's some I have ripening in the flower bed
 

hugh: doooh!
