Yes, this was the quote from my twitter friend @caroldavenport as we discussed picking our first home grown, sun warmed, tomatoes yesterday; if you've tasted fresh from the plant you understand.
I know it's a well discussed question, but the conversation yesterday really was a reminder to me of why we grow our own, there is just no comparison with supermarket bought produce, and while we were discussing tomatoes, this applies to almost everything we grow to eat.
