On a dull day like today, there is nothing more satisfying than harvesting these small globes of golden orange.
They are part of our crop of mini pumpkins that we're in the process of collecting.
The plants were sown way back in mid May; and I remember thinking that after such a cold Spring, it would be interesting to see how the plants get on over the year.
And here we are, one lovely Summer and early Autumn later and, although the plants are looking a bit worse for wear, the mini pumpkins are just shining through waiting to be picked!
With the weather turning away from Summer, the shorter days and longer nights, it's time to put together our Autumn & 'Fall' displays. Perfect.
Happy gardening!
